Tata continues to bring more Nano variants but not new products

As if we haven’t heard enough news about the cheapest car in the world, it seems that Tata Motors is bringing in more variants of the small car that are actually more expensive, and this time also more efficient. Some of the newest features on the new Tata Nano include a 4-speaker AmphiStream music system with Bluetooth connectivity, more convenient with remote keyless entry and dual glove boxes, stylish, refreshed interiors and new exterior colour, new personalisation kits and an upgraded air-conditioning.

The small 624cc engine delivers a stout 38bhp of power and 51Nm of torque and fuel efficiency remains the highest among petrol vehicles at 25.4 kmpl. Now the Nano will also feature a factory fitted CNG Kit. It is not understood by us how the company will manage to sell more Nano’s that are more expensive, but they believe that more variety is better, and not to mention the company has not launched a proper new product in the last 2 years, but have only brought us refreshed older variants. Tata is also under new management and had a recent press conference to reassure the industry that they will bring us new products, but we are still waiting. The company is also losing a lot of money and they really need to focus hard on the future if they wish to be a strong competitor in the Indian automotive market.
