New Hyundai i10 is bigger and better

Hyundai has revealed photographs of the updated i10 due in 2014 and the car does indeed look like it has gotten a more mature and sharper design. The car’s dimensions have also been tweaked with and the wheelbase is 5mm longer, which will allow for more interior room – but just a smidge. The i10 is now 80mm longer, 65mm wider and also 50mm lower, while trunk space has been increased by 10 percent.

The current i10 has been highly acclaimed by critics and customers alike in Europe,” said Hyundai Motor Company Australia Director of Marketing, Oliver Mann. “The new model will surely be even better, and we are preparing a business study of the car to review with our parent company. At this stage, we have no further plans to announce.”

Buyers of New Generation i10 will be offered the highest levels of comfort and safety equipment, with many features usually only found in segments above. Available equipment such as automatic climate control, heated leather steering wheel and cruise control with speed limiter provides bigger-car comfort, while safety features include standard-fitment stability control and front curtain airbags.

New Generation i10 is based on an all-new platform featuring a 5mm longer wheelbase and relocated rear dampers that deliver more precise wheel control over all types of road surface. Most likely the engine capacities will remain the same as there has been no announcement on the performance of the vehicle.
