Mercedes added Edition 1 with A-Class and B-Class

Mercedes-Benz is going to launch the special editions of Mercedes A-Class and B-Class in India by the end of this month. The vehicle will be called ‘Edition 1’ fully loaded with extra features. This limited period Edition 1 variants will be available only with A 180 CDI and the B 180 CDI engine.

Mechanically there are no any changes, the both cars will be powered by the same 2,143cc in-line, 4-cylinder CDI diesel engine with 108.7 Ps of power at 3,200-4,400rpm and 250 Nm of torque at 1,400-2,800. But the ground clearance will be increased in new special editions of Mercedes Edition 1.

The included features like a panoramic sunroof, new reverse camera, centre arm-rest, power adjustable front passenger seat, Edition 1 badging with black background. Both cars will get funky new 10-spoke alloy wheels but the wheel and tyre size remains unchanged and the B 180 CDI will additionally a rear seat entertainment system.

The current version of A180 CDI is available at Rs 24.77 lakh and the B180 CDI at Rs. 26.83 lakh in ex-showroom Delhi. One can expect the Edition 1 to be priced at a premium over the current variants.
