The newly launched Maruti Alto 800 by Maruti Suzuki India has posted 21,200 bookings within a week after its launch on October 16, 2012. The country’s largest car manufacturer launched the new small car with the aim of boosting sales for the ongoing festival season in October and November 2012. A total of 7,000 units of the car model have already been sold.

Mayank Pareek Chief Operating Officer (Marketing & Sales) Maruti Suzuki India stated the company has witnessed a 15 percent increase in the overall bookings of cars in the current festival season in 2012 in comparison to the festival season in 2011.
