Honda India launches City sedan with CNG option at Rs 9,03,000

Honda Cars India, the wholly owned Indian subsidiary of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda has announced the launch of the City mid-size sedan with a CNG option at a price of Rs 9,03,000 (Ex-showroom Delhi).

The sedan equipped with a CNG kit has a price tag higher than the existing petrol version by Rs 53,000 to Rs 54,000 including the cost of the CNG kit and installation charges and will be available in ‘V’ grade at all 45 dealerships across 28 cities which have the CNG fuel options in India.

The Honda CNG is being offered with a 2 years warranty as standard and a new Audio Visual Navigation system for the V variant model which includes features such as audio visual navigation, touch screen, DVD player and USB/I-Pod/Aux-in and Bluetooth connectivity. The interiors of the sedan boasts of leather upholstery and leather wrapping on the steering wheel and the gear shift. The 1.5 liter 4 cylinder i-VTEC engine has been optimized for the CNG fuel and the suspension has been tweaked according to the additional weight of the CNG cylinder.

According to Mr. Jnaneswar Sen Senior Vice President Honda Cars India, the adaptation of CNG fuel option in the City sedan is aimed at lowering the cost of ownership for customers in addition to being eco-friendly.
