Honda Siel Cars India reports 252 percent growth in sales in April 2012

Honda Siel Cars India, the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese carmaker Honda posted a growth of 252 percent in sales in the month of April 2012 selling 7,075 cars in comparison to 2,012 cars sold in April 2011.

The growth in sales is being led by the Honda Brio hatchback which recorded 3,590 unit sales followed by Honda City sedan selling 2,092 units and the Jazz premium hatchback with sales of 1,300 units. The Civic sedan, the Accord sedan and the CRV SUV posted sales of 51, 25 and 17 units respectively.

The company has witnessed 71 percent growth in the January to April 2012 period with sales of 28,731 units in comparison to 16,789 units sold in the same period in 2011.
