Ford Motor India, the Indian arm of the American automobile manufacturer Ford has posted a sales growth of 36 percent in the month of June 2014. The carmaker sold a total of 11,935 units in the month as compared to 8,771 units sold in the same month in 2013.
The domestic sales of the American automaker stood at 7,258 cars in June 2014 in comparison to 7,145 cars sold in June 2013. The primary growth driver for the month was the exports figure of 4,677 units.
Mr. Vinay Piparsania Executive Director (Marketing, Sales and Service) Ford India stated that the extension of the excise duty concession by the Indian government will play a significant role in uplifting the consumer purchasing sentiments especially with the upcoming festive season.
