Indian carmaker Tata Motors witnessed a decline of 5.8 per cent in April sales at 38,149 units from 40,486 units in the same month last year.
The passenger vehicle sales saw a decline of 12 per cent, totaling to sales of 14,843 units.

Indica sold 7, 430 units witnessing a decline of 31.6 percent from April 2007.Indigo registered sales of 3,763 units which is an increase of 43 per cent over April 2007. Sumo and Safari sales rose 9.3 per cent at 3,650 units.
