Tata Motors posts a 39 percent drop in November 2013 sales

Indian automobile manufacturer Tata Motors has posted a sales decline of 39 percent in the month of November 2013. The carmaker sold 40,863 units in the month in comparison to 62,354 units sold in the same month in 2012.

The sales figures of the carmaker are reportedly its worst figures since the year 2010. The domestic sales of the carmaker fell by more than 40 percent, selling 37,192 units in the month in comparison to 62,354 units sold in the same month in 2012. The exports by the Indian automaker also witnessed a decline from 4,146 units sold in November 2012 to 3,671 units exported in November 2013.

The sales figures included car products from commercial vehicle segment, light commercial vehicles as well as medium and heavy commercial vehicles in addition to passenger vehicles posted sales of 10,376 units for the month.
