Tata Motors plans 8 new product launches

Indian automobile manufacturer Tata Motors is planning to launch 8 new car models in the Indian auto market in order to boost sales and regain lost market share amid slow down in the Indian auto sector. The carmaker also plans to launch revamped versions of its existing car models.

The decision to launch new products comes after it witnessed a decline of 28 percent in its sales for the month of June 2013. The new car products are being developed by the carmaker on new platforms and include 4 sedans and three hatchbacks in addition to a new Nano car model.

According to the carmaker, the new car models will be integrated with new features and will focus on fuel efficiency in order to compete with the leading products by other automobile players in the Indian auto market.
