The Indigo eCS sedan by Indian car manufacturer Tata Motors has set a new record and found a place in the Limca Book of Records with a non-stop nation-wide mileage run. The sedan crossed 19 states and touched all the four gateways in India, namely Koteshwar in West, Kashmir in the North, Kibithu in East to Kanyakumari in the South.
The total distance covered by the sedan in this trip came to a total of about 14,000 kilometers across the 19 states it crossed on its way and the total time taken to complete this journey was 15 days. The trip was undertaken by the Tata Indigo eCS in order to exhibit the endurance levels of the sedan.
According to Mr. Ranjit Yadav President Passenger Vehicles Business Unit Tata Motors, the Tata Indigo eCS is the third largest selling car in India. He added that the endurance test and record in the Limca Book of Records proves the durability and fuel efficiency of the sedan.
During the entire trip, the best fuel economy recorded by the sedan was 41.14 kmpl and the average fuel economy of the trip came out to be 18.7 kmpl.
