Saffronart and Mercedes-Benz India join hands to promote arts in India

Saffronart, India’s leading art auction house and Mercedes-Benz India have joined hands to promote arts in India, and as a part of the effort have unveiled a customized Mercedes-Benz S-class ‘Art Edition.’ There are only two such limited edition cars and each one of them costs Rs. 1.14 crore (ex-Showroom, Mumbai).

Mercedes-Benz is supporting the Saffronart Autumn Online Auction of Modern and Contemporary Indian Art which is being held online at www.saffronart.com from September 21-22, 2011. Celebrating the launch of the auction, an event was held at ‘Tote on the Turf’ in Mumbai on September 22, 2011, which proudly displayed a wide range of artworks. The auction also showcased the works of M.F. Husain, S.H. Raza, Arpita Singh and Jehangir Sabavala, and that of Atul Dodiya, Shibu Natesan, Anju Dodiya, Subodh Gupta and Surendran Nair.
