Rolls-Royce plans to increase its dealerships in India

Luxury car manufacturer Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has announced its plans to open two new dealerships in India by March 2012 adding to its existing 3 dealerships. The company expects to enhance interactions with its customers in India and plans to establish one of the proposed dealerships in North India while the other may come up in Central or South India, said Mr. Herfried Hasenoehrl, Head Business Development – India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Currently, the company has three dealerships in India, one in Mumbai, the second in New Delhi and a third in Hyderabad which was inaugurated recently on December 7, 2011. According to Mr. Hasenoehrl, India has a total of about 200 Rolls-Royce cars, a figure that the three regions, North, South and Central India equally contribute to. He added that from the company’s portfolio in India, the Phantom leads the sales and is followed by the Ghost.
