Revamped Nano launched by Tata Motors on November 21, 2011

Tata Motors has launched on November 21, 2011 the new Nano with improved performance, efficiency and many other upgrades such as revamped interiors and new colours. The high point of the launch is the fuel efficiency of the new car approved by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), which at 25.4 kmpl is an improvement over 23.6 kmpl, its prior record as the most fuel-efficient petrol car in India. The car also holds the position of the lowest CO2 emission in the Indian car market.

The car’s 624cc engine has been tweaked to deliver 38PS of power in comparison to the earlier 35PS and 51Nm of torque compared to 48Nm earlier. The ride and handling of the car have also been improved with a new steering mechanism, revised suspension setup and an anti-roll bar at the front. The Booster assisted brakes, earlier available only in the Nano CX and the Nano LX, have now become a standard feature across all the variants.

The Nano CX and the Nano LX gets rear view mirror on the passenger side, while for the Nano Standard, the same can be availed as an accessory. The interiors have been revamped visually as well as in terms of the quality. Wheel caps are also provided in both half and full wheel caps. Moreover, the new car is available in a variety of colors, eight of which are newly introduced.
