Renault India, the Indian arm of the French automobile manufacturer Renault has announced a price hike of 1 percent across its existing range of car models in India. The price hike is being attributed to the high input costs which in turn has increased the component costs.
The automaker’s existing car portfolio including the Duster compact SUV, the Scala premium sedan and the Pulse hatchback will be witness the price hike of 1 percent. It is yet to be seen how the customers respond to the price hike given the current market conditions and low buying sentiments.
The automaker currently operates 131 dealerships across India and a manufacturing facility in Oragadam near Chennai which has a capacity of 4,80,000 units of production on an annual basis.
