Nissan India becomes the second largest car exporter in India

Nissan India, the Indian arm of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan has become the second largest car exporter in India, second only to Hyundai India at the top position. The newly upgraded Sunny sedan has been launched with new features in both the exterior as well as the interior.

According to Mr. Andy Palmer Chief Planning Officer Nissan Motor India, the Indian auto market is a challenging one and the carmaker is focused at creating a wide range of new customer centric cars. The automaker is looking at 200 dealerships by the end of the year 2014, stated Mr. Palmer.

On the export front, the automaker has exported 1,16,000 units to about 100 global markets, contributing to its second position in the Indian export market.
