Mercedes-Benz India launches SUV M-Class and SLS AMG Roadster

German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz launched two cars in the luxury segment, the SUV M-Class priced at Rs. 58,00,000 to Rs. 60,00,000 and the SLS AMG Roadster which is an open top vehicle priced at Rs. 3 crore. Future design cues have also been revealed by the carmaker for the concept A-Class car and fuel cell technology which will be introduced in the year 2013. Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India Mr. Peter Honegg says that the company expects the luxury car market in India to see a double digit growth.

The M-Class M 350 CDI SUV has a top speed of 224 kmph and is equipped with 9 air bags as a safety measure for the passengers. The new SUV also features the ECO start-stop function which automatically switches off the engine at traffic signals and during traffic jams and helps reduce fuel consumption and emissions. On the other hand, the SLS AMG open top sports car is powered by an eight cylinder V8 engine and has a top speed of 317 Kmph. The Roaster can go from 0-100 kmph in less than 4 seconds.
