Maruti Suzuki unveils SUV XA Alpha at Auto Expo 2012 Day One

India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki with the aim of entering into new segments, unveiled its compact SUV XA Alpha at the first day of the Auto Expo 2012. The concept car is the result of the combined efforts of the Research and Development teams of Suzuki Motor Corp and Maruti Suzuki India. The development process took 10 months during which 5 Maruti Suzuki engineers apart from the Suzuki engineers were involved in creating the new concept car.

According to Mr. Shinzo Nakanishi Maruti Suzuki Managing Director and CEO, the Indian automobile industry will turn India into one of the biggest automobile economies in the world with the Indian government’s continual support. Moreover, the customers are likely to become more sophisticated and will choose their vehicles in accordance with their suitable way of the life.

Thus, with a futuristic view, the company is planning to launch new product and create new segments to cater to the changing requirements according to the lifestyle changes of the customers. Also, the K-series engine range of car models will be expanded by the company along with diesel powered vehicles.
