Maruti Suzuki to set up servicing and warehousing hub in Panagarh India

Maruti Suzuki is planning to establish an integrated servicing and warehousing hub in the Eastern India in order to cater to the customers in the region. The company is on the lookout for a 60 acre land to set up the hub in Panagarh West Bengal with an investment of Rs. 100 crore. With a capacity to accommodate 10,000 to 15,000 cars, the project will serve the entire eastern zone consisting of West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar, Chattisgarh and Jharkhand.

According to Mr. R Dayal MSIL Executive Director, the company will also look at the Panagarh Industrial Park and will proceed further if it suits its requirements. Initially the company was inclined to set up the servicing facility in the state of Jharkhand. However, the favorable West Bengal government policies towards the automobile industry tipped the scale for the shift to Panagarh.

Maruti Suzuki is in the process of setting up similar integrated warehousing and servicing facilities in other parts of India such as Bangalore, Nagpur and Gurgaon.
