Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra has posted a growth of 27 percent in sales in the month of April 2012 selling 40,719 vehicles in comparison to 32,090 vehicles sold in the same month in 2011. The domestic sales of the company increased by 29 percent to 39,299 vehicles in April 2012 from 30,349 vehicles sold in April 2011.
The exports of the company declined by 18 percent from 1741 units sold in April 2011 to 1420 units exported in April 2012. The company’s sedan segment which comprises the Verito sedan saw an increment of 33 percent in sales in April 2012 selling 20,558 units in comparison to 15,459 units sold in April 2011.
Mr. Pravin Shah Chief Executive Automotive Division Mahindra & Mahindra stated that the company is encouraged by the sales growth of 27 percent in the first month of the fiscal 2012-13 and expects to maintain the momentum of growth.
