Mahindra NuvoSport launched

Mahindra has launched its Quanto replacement, and it’s called the NuvoSport. The sub 4-metre car is essentially a redesigned version of the Quanto but it looks more appealing in terms of its design. The NuvoSport has also been launched with a very attractive introductory price of Rs 7.35 Lakh (Ex showroom, Thane). The car was designed and developed in-house, while the research and development was carried out at the Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai.

The NuvoSport will be powered by the same engine as the Quanto, which is the 1.5-litre 3-cylinder mHawk80 diesel engine, tuned to offer better efficiency and slightly better performance with power figures producing 100bhp along with a peak torque of 240Nm. Transmission options on offer are a 5-speed manual and an optional 5-speed AMT. Just like the Mahindra KUV100, the NuvoSport also comes with a PWR and ECO mode, to achieve better fuel efficiency. The Nuvosport will be offered with a seven-seater layout with two jump seats in the boot, where the top-end variant will feature an eight-way adjustable front seat, cruise control, dual DIN touchscreen infotainment system, centre console system, Bluetooth connectivity, and reverse parking camera.
