Hyundai Motor India, the largest car exporter and the second largest car manufacturer in India has announced that it has achieved 33,000 unit sales for the Grand i10 hatchback within 90 days of launch in September 2013.
The Korean automobile manufacturer stated that the new car model has witnessed a positive response from the younger generation across metros and tier II cities. The carmaker added that after the launch of the Grand i10, the footfalls at the auto dealerships have increased to more than 1,24,000 for multiple enquiries and test drive requests.
The carmaker also stated that the newly developed U2 CRDi diesel engine placed in the Grand i10 hatchback has proved to be successful among customers. The mileage of 24 kilometers per liter has furthered contributed to the success of the car in India.
