Hyundai India closes down 4 dealerships in India

Hyundai India, the largest exporter and the second largest car manufacturer in India has closed down 4 of its dealerships in India in the Southern India region. The dealerships are situated in the cities of Madurai, Vellore, Salem and Coimbatore.

While these dealerships were shut down abruptly and arbitrarily, the carmaker stated that it continuously monitors the quality of service provided by its dealers and any cancellation of dealership is done after due checks and diligence.

The automaker states that it adds about 20-30 dealers across India currently totaling 393 dealerships. According to industry experts, the carmaker has implemented such a revamping of dealerships for the second time within a year. A similar exercise was run in the Western India region in August 2013.
