With the commencement of production in Sriperumbudur plant near Chennai, Hyundai’s production of cars in India has increased to 6.3 lakh units in India.
Though the target fixed by Hyundai for itself was 5.3 lakhs, the company has outdone it with Sriperumbudur assembly line able to belt out 300,000 units per year. Four different models, including i10 will be manufactured from this plant and the upcoming i10 diesel and i20 might also be belted out from here.
