Honda Cars India, the Indian subsidiary wholly owned by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda has announced that it will be unveiling the next generation of the 2014 Honda City sedan car model in India on November 25, 2013. The ceremony will be the global unveiling of the sedan model by the carmaker.
According to reports, the automaker has also started accepting pre-orders for the next generation sedan. While the sedan will be showcased at the Indian Auto Expo 2014, it is expected that the deliveries will commence after the showcase event.
Honda will be launching the City sedan for the first time with a diesel engine, it’s second car model with a diesel engine in India after the Amaze compact sedan. The petrol version of the sedan will be powered by the existing 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine and the diesel version of the car will be equipped with a 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine. The sedan will be based on the new Jazz platform and will get a complete makeover for a fresh launch.
