Ford India, the Indian subsidiary of the American carmaker Ford has reported an increase of 20.46 percent in its sales for the month of June 2013. The carmaker sold a total of 8,771 units in the month in comparison to 7,281 units sold in the same month in 2012.
The domestic sales of the carmaker grew by 14 percent in the month with sales of 7,145 units as compared to 6,267 units sold in June 2012. The exports of the company accounted for 1,626 units against 1,024 units exported in 2012 in the same month, a growth of 58.78 percent.
Mr. Vinay Piparsania Executive Director, (Marketing, Sales and Service) Ford India commented on the sales figures stating that the increase in sales indicates the acceptance of the quality of the Ford car products by the Indian buyers.
