Ford Fiesta Tops in Consumer Satisfaction for the ‘Midsize’ Segment according to TNS Automotive Study

Ford Fiesta has been ranked highest in the `Midsize Segment’ in the latest TNS Automotive 2010 India Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) study.
Ford’s other flagship product the Figo, which has sold 76,000 units since its launch and has the honour of being the most-awarded car in India, has moved quickly to be among the leaders in the `Upper Premium Compact’ category of the study.

This is the second consecutive year when Fiesta has been ranked highest in its segment. Last year, it came top in the `Diesel Midsize Segment’ by the TNS Automotive TCS Study.

The 2010 four-wheeler Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) study conducted by TNS specialist division, TNS Automotive, is the largest syndicated automotive study in India, representing the responses of around 9,300 new car buyers. This comprehensive study covers 56 models with customer evaluations taken in the key areas of sales satisfaction, product quality, vehicle performance and design, after sales service, brand image, and cost-of-ownership.

Commenting on this milestone achievement, Michael Boneham, Ford India president and managing director said, “Ford Fiesta is a winning product in our portfolio as demonstrated by its leadership in the Midsize category in the TNS Automotive 2010 India Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) study for two consecutive years. We are proud to see the Fiesta receive the recognition and resonate so well with our customers.”

The Ford Fiesta has been Ford’s midsize-sedan that has enthralled audiences in India ever since its launch. Designed specifically for India, it has been the most sought after sedan in its segment for delivering high on attributes such as drivability, styling and fuel efficiency.

Encouraged by the Fiesta and Figo’s remarkable success and popularity, Ford India is all set to bolster its portfolio with eight new models by middle of the decade which will begin with entry of the global premium sedan Fiesta later this year.
