BMW’s annual profits rose to 9%

The new Bayerische SUV X5 and the MINI Cooper raked in a 9% increase in the annual profits for BMW. The company’s net income rose from 2.87 billion pounds to 3.13 billion pounds and the company sold a record-breaking 1.5 million vehicles last year.

BMW intends to sell 1.8 million cars a year by 2012 and more than 2 million cars by the end of 2020.
