BMW India sells 302 units of Mini car models

BMW India, the Indian arm of the German luxury car maker and the market leader in the luxury car segment in India has posted sales of 302 units of the Mini car brand since its launch in the month of April 2012.

The major contributor to the sales figure was the Mini Cooper with 143 units, the Mini Convertible with 97 units followed by the Mini Countryman model with 62 units. The luxury car brand has been targeted at car buyers looking for style and quality.

According to industry experts, Mini being an iconic car brand has found wide appeal in India due to its sporty looks and luxury status. The efficient petrol engines and the six-speed automatic transmission system have also been attributed to be appealing factors to customers.

The Mini brand owned by BMW currently has 4 outlets in India out of which 2 outlets are located in New Delhi while the other 2 are located in Mumbai and Hyderabad.
