Audi India launches RS7 Sportback at Rs 1.28 crore

Audi India, the Indian subsidiary of the German automaker Audi has announced the launch of the 2014 Audi RS7 Sportback for the Indian car market. The new car has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 1.28 crore.

The new sports car is claimed to be Audi’s most powerful car and is touted to produce 10PS more that the Audi’s Flagship R8 V10 Plus. It is claimed to be capable of going from 0-100 kilometers per hour in 3.9 seconds and features a top speed of 255 kilometers per hour. The car can attain a top speed of 305 kilometers per hour when the speed limiter is deactivated.

The new sports car is equipped with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo (TFSi) V8 engine which offers 560PS of peak power and 700NM of peak torque. The car also features Audi’s trademark Quattro all-wheel-drive system which delivers power through an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Based on the A7 sedan, the RS7 Sportback features a reworked front grille and bumper and 20-inch wheels.

The Audi RS7 Sportback will compete with the upcoming rival cars, namely the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG and the BMW M6 GranCoupé.
