Ford India witnesses a 19 percent increase in November 2013 sales

Ford India, the Indian arm of the American automobile manufacturer Ford has posted a 19 percent increase in its sales for the month of November 2013. The automaker sold 12,050 units including domestic sales and exports in the month.

The domestic sales of the American automaker increased by 33 percent from 5,944 units in November 2012 to 7,909 units in November 2013, powering the carmaker to post an increase of 19 percent in total sales. The exports of the company in the month remained steady at 4,141 units.

Mr. Vinay Piparsania Executive Director (Marketing, Sales and Service) Ford India stated that the carmaker has been able to achieve growth amid challenging market conditions. The festival season in November 2013 further contributed to the sales growth through various freebies and benefits offered by the carmaker across its products.

The American carmaker currently operates 274 outlets in India spread across 146 cities and aims to achieve 500 outlets by the year 2015.
