Lotus pulls out of Paris Auto Show

Lotus Eterne at Paris Motor Show 2010

Lotus has not been having a very good year so far. After announcing various plans over the last two years the automaker is now having trouble coping with itself. Currently the company is fighting a legal battle with its recently removed CEO Dany Bahar, and now they have also pulled out of the Paris Motor Show, which is one of the most important motor shows in the world. Lotus was initially planning to showcase 6 new models, but now it doesn’t look like we will see any of those models for some time to come. On top of that their sales figures have also been very low this year and they are also in financial trouble as their parent company DRB-Hicom from Malaysia is investigating the company’s viability. These are very tough times for the company and this is evident from the fact that the car maker had to shut down production as well.  The company is now focusing on its planned models for the future while it continues its battle in court. However the company seems positive as it has recently been celebrated at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
