‘Das WeltAuto’ is the company’s global pre-owned car business which now has been brought to India in the light of the potential in the Indian auto market and especially in the used car market. Mr. Garg added that the company showrooms currently receive enquiries about its cars, 30 percent of which are regarding exchange ‘old car for new car’, something the company wants to cash in on.
The new used car showrooms will be managed by the company’s dealers who will invest into separate showrooms for the used cars apart from the new car showrooms. With the introduction of its used car business in India, Volkswagen now expects to cater to its customers as a one stop shop and solution.
