Triumph launches Bonneville Bobber in India

British bike maker, Triumph has just launched the highly anticipated Bonneville Bobber in India. The Bobber is the latest addition to Triumph’s modern classic range in India and will be th last model in the Bonneville range. The Bonneville Bobber is priced at a very attractive price of Rs 9.09 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), which means that it sits just below the range-topping Thruxton R café racer. The main highlight of the Bobber is it’s a modern classic heritage design. As a result, the Bobber gets some interesting design elements such as a low-stance stripped back look, a single seat, a hard rear mud-flap, typical bobber-like wide handlebars, a slash-cut exhaust, and carb-style twin-throttle bodies. All of the elements come together really well because the Bobber is one stunning looking motorcycle.

The Bobber is largely based on the T120, but it gets a new frame and revised suspension setup and revised tuning to the engine. Powering the motorcycle is the same liquid-cooled 1,200cc parallel-twin engine as the T120, but the engine is rated at 76bhp and 106Nm and comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Triumph also claims that the Bobber’s engine has a new dual-chamber airbox that helps deliver more punch at low engine RPMs. The Bobber, although a classic in design, gets the latest tech as it comes with ride-by-wire throttle, ABS, switchable traction control, two riding modes – Rain and Road, LED tail-light and a torque assist clutch. Four colour options are available on the motorcycle – Modello Red, Ironstone, Jet Black and Competition Green/Frozen Silver. Triumph will also be offering two custom kits with the Bobber, namely, Old School and Quarter Mile, but there are over a hundred other customization parts and accessories to choose from.
