The X6 killer: Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe unveiled

Mercedes-Benz is combining two classes of vehicles to make the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe – the sporty nature of a coupé together with the striking characteristics of a robust SUV. In addition to convincing on-road vehicle dynamics, the GLE Coupé looks impressive as well. With its flowing side contour, elongated and low greenhouse, striking radiator grille with central chrome louvre and rear end design, the GLE Coupe cites styling features typical of particularly sporty Mercedes-Benz models. But it does look remarkably similar to the BMW X6 – the very vehicle it wishes to compete against.

Another addition to the AMG sport line the all-new GLE 450 AMG gets generous amount of standard equipment, the DYNAMIC SELECT dynamic handling control system, the Sports Direct-Steer system and the driver assistance systems typical of the brand, and just like all other AMG’s the GLE 450 AMG will come with the 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission and 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive. The GLE 450 AMG has an ultra-powerful twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 that produces 367bhp and 520Nm of torque.
