The New Pajero Sport has been revealed

Unfortunately, Mitsubishi is not ready to launch the car just yet, but they have revealed full details of the much awaited new version of the Pajero Sport SUV. This is the first full redesign of the car in 7 years and it looks quite good. The car was showcased in Thailand, where it is produced at Mitsubishi’s LaemChabang Plant. According to the company, sales of the all-new Pajero start in Thailand from this fall, and after that it will make its way to India, and 90 other countries.

The Pajero will be powered by a brand new 2.4L MIVEC2 turbo diesel engine, which is mated to a new 8-speed automatic transmission developed specially for the all-new Pajero Sport. This powertrain returns a 17-percent improvement in fuel economy over its predecessor and has less carbon emissions. The car also uses a further-evolved version of the Super-Select 4WD-II four-wheel drive system. The mid-sized SUV will come with new active safety features including Forward Collision Mitigation system, the Blind Spot Warning system, and the Ultrasonic Mitigation System.
