The most powerful muscle car ever

The new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT, with its supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat engine, produces an unprecedented 707bhp and 880Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Challenger ever, Dodge’s most powerful V8 ever, and the most powerful muscle car of all time. But wait. There’s more! The Challenger’s new 6.2-liter Supercharged Hellcat engine will also be the first factory supercharged HEMI, as well as Dodge and SRT’s first application of V8 supercharger technology. The car is already maing headlines across the US market, but the company has also come out with a clever new technology for the woner to limit power output. The owner of the carr will be given two key sets of keys – or key fobs. The red key fob is the only key that can unlock the full 707bhp and torque potential of the Challenger SRT Hellcat engine; while the black key fob limits the driver to a reduced engine output of 500bhp.

“The new 2015 Dodge Challenger raises the bar to a level some of us never thought we’d see,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO, Dodge and SRT Brands. “With the new Challenger SRT Hellcat, we’re reaching deep into our history and bringing back the notion from the muscle car era of the street and strip dual-purpose car. Not only can Challenger run 10s on the drag strip, but you can also fit your family and drive cross country. This new 2015 Dodge Challenger is the ultimate GT muscle car.”
