Tata Motors has unveiled two new cars in the Indian market, sedan Tata Zest and the premium hatchback model Tata Bolt with new design. The Tata Bolt and Tata Zest are available in both diesel and petrol engine option, sales will commence this year.
Tata Zest and Tata Bolt will be integrated with REVOTRON 1.2T, Turbocharged Intercooled Multi-point Fuel-Injected (MPFi) Petrol engine. The engine is powered by 85Ps of power @ 5,000rpm and 140 Nm of torque @ 1,750 – 3,000 rpm.
The diesel version of Tata Zest and Tata Bolt will be 1.3L Quadrajet engine, but the power and torque are totally different in both cars. The Tata Zest is integrated with 90PS of power at @ 4000 RPM and 200 Nm of torque @ 1,750 – 3,000 rpm, while the Tata Bolt is integrated with 75 Ps of power @ 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque @ 1,750-3,000 rpm.
The diesel variant of ZEST will have the first-in-class F-Tronic technology-enabled, 5-speed Automated and Manual Transmission.
The both cars ZEST and BOLT have been designed and developed based on three key fundamental principles, namely, DesigNext, DriveNext and ConnectNext.

The Tata Zest and Bolt are basically a result of the collaborative design inputs from the three Tata Motors design studios in Pune, Coventry (UK) and Turin ( Italy), come with several segment first features and a new design language on the exterior and the interior of the car.

The both cars are available with advanced features like Electronic Power Assisted System (EPAS), with ‘Active Return’ function and speed sensitive power steering. ABS for improved braking efficiency, Cornering Stability feature, a silent, quieter cabin and the Dual-path suspension coupled with a zero pivot subfram, are few of them.
