Tata Motors registered a strong growth in certain vehicle sales, as passenger cars (excluding UV’s), M&HCV and exports growth by 33 percent, 20 percent and 5 percent respectively. The company received the total commercial and passenger vehicles sales (including exports) in March 2015 of 52,479 vehicles which grew 3% over 51,184 vehicles sold in March 2014.
The Tata domestic sales of commercial and passenger vehicles for March 2015 were 47,044 units, a growth of 2% over 45,996 vehicles, sold in March 2014. The Company total sales (including exports) for financial year (FY) 14-15 were 5,02,281 units, lower by 11% over 5,66,695 units of vehicles compared last year.
Tata Motors Sales of Passenger Vehicles:
The company has recorded 15,039 units of sales for the passenger vehicles (including UV’s) in March 2015, a growth of 19% as compared to 12,640 units in March 2014.
The growth in passenger vehicles (excluding UV’s) continued sales in March 2015 was 12,977 units growth by 33%, over March 2014, but the UV sales declined by 28% at 2,062 units in March 2015.
And Tata Motors cumulative sales of all passenger vehicles in the domestic market for financial year 2015-15 were 1,34,080 units, lower by 3% compared to last year.
Tata Motors Sales of Commercial Vehicles:
In-terms of commercial vehicle, the company registered 32,005 units of sales for the domestic market in March 2015, which is lower by 4% against March 2014. The LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) sales were at 17,127 units, which is also lower by 18% over March 2014, while M&HCV(Cargo Range of Vehicles) sales continued to show growth at 14,878 nos., higher by 20% compared in March 2014.
Cumulative sales of commercial vehicles in the domestic market for the financial year 2014-15 were 3,18,268 units, declined by 16% over FY 2013-2014. Tata Motors LCV sales were 1,91,210 units, lower by 29% over last year, while M&HCV(Cargo Range of Vehicles) sales were at 1,27,058 units, growth by 15%, over last year.
Tata Motors Vehicle Exports:
The Tata Motors has exported 5,435 units of vehicle in March 2015, growth by 5% against to 5,188 vehicles in March 2014. The cumulative sales from exports for FY 2014-15 were at 49,933 units, remained flat, compared to last year.
