Tata Motors launches Indigo Manza

Tata Indigo ManzaTata Motors launched a new version of its entry-level sedan, the Indigo, this week. The ‘Indigo Manza’ is priced between Rs 4.8 lakh and Rs 6.75 lakh and is available in both petrol and diesel variants. Mr Rajiv Dube, the head of Tata Motors’ passenger car division, told media persons that the Manza was the best car the company had made so far. It comes with a collapsible steering wheel column, front airbags and anti-lock braking system (ABS). The car will be sold in the market along with its older versions – the Indigo CS, the Indigo XL and the Indigo Marina.

The Manza has been built on the same platform as the Indica Vista, which was launched last year, and comes with two engine options – Fiat’s HP Quadrajet Petrol and Saffire Diesel engines. It is being produced at Tata Motors’ Ranjangaon plant near Pune. Tata Motors does not yet have any plans to develop an electric version of the car.
