Tata Motors forays into Indonesian auto market launching three cars

Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia (TMDI), the Indonesian arm of the Indian auto major Tata Motors has entered the Indonesian passenger vehicle market with the launch of three car models. These include the Tata Aria crossover, the Tata Vista hatchback and the Tata Safari Storme SUV.

Mr. Karl Slym the Managing Director of Tata Motors commented on the development stating that the carmaker had announced its plan to foray into the Indonesian passenger vehicle market in 2012 and has been testing its car models on the Indonesian terrain and has accordingly developed these products to meet the requirements of the consumers.

According to Mr. Biswadev Sengupta President Director of PT TMDI, the Indonesian auto market offers the carmaker a huge potential to expand its operations. Mr. Sengupta also stated that the newly launched products have been extensively tried and tested in order to meet the operating requirements on Indonesian roads and terrain.
