Second generation Tata Nano to get big upgrades

Indian car maker Tata Motors has announced that the second generation Nano will get a series of important changes. The car was first launched in 2009 and is the cheapest car in the world. Although the car has been getting a few changes over the years, it is now reported that the second generation Nano will get some big changes. According to sources the new Nano will be equipped with a larger and more powerful engine compared to the current two-cylinder 624cc gasoline unit, which produces only 38bhp and 51Nm of torque.

The Nano will also come with better equipment and more features, including a redesigned interior and added space. Tata is trying to rid the Nano of being labeled as a cheap car, and will hope to lure in more customers. They are also currently offering a bi-fuel version of the Nano using the same engine, which generate 33bhp and 45Nm of torque when running on compressed natural gas. The new generation Nano will most likely be launched later this year.
