Rolls-Royce launches wedding edition Ghost and Phantom in India

Luxury automobile manufacturer Rolls-Royce has announced the launch of wedding editions of its salon car models, the Ghost and the Phantom in a bid to attract the elite auto customers in India. The specially handcrafted luxury car launches come ahead of the upcoming wedding season in November 2012.

Mr. Herfried Hasenoehrl General Motors (Emerging markets) Asia stated that the wedding editions of the newly launched car models have been developed according to the preference of the Indian customers. He added that the company is already receiving requests for the wedding editions and customers are in talks with the dealers to add personal touches to the car models.

The company is offering choices ranging from colors and veneers in addition to special engravings of embossed names according to their requirements.

The existing models of the Ghost and the Phantom in India are priced at Rs 2.5-3 crore and Rs 4.5 crore respectively. About 100 super-luxury cars were sold in India in the year 2011 and the sales are expected by carmakers to grow by 50 percent in the year 2012.
