Renault India recalls 7,016 units of Scala and Pulse models

Renault India, the Indian arm of the French automaker Renault has recalled 7,016 units of the Scala sedan and the Pulse hatchback in order to rectify a potential problem in the car models. The recall by the carmaker follows the recall by its global alliance partner Nissan which recalled a total of 22,188 units for the same reason.

The Oragadam facility near Chennai is shared by both carmakers for the manufacturing of automobiles.
Notifications to the car owners are being dispatched by the French carmaker in order to repair or replace the brake master cylinder component of the cars. The replacement will be done free of cost to the customers.

The recalled car models include 4,180 units of the Scala and 2,836 units of the Pulse in total. The automaker states that the exercise is a voluntary recall and is aimed to ensure the satisfaction as well as safety of the customers.
