Range Rover and Ranger Rover Sport updated for 2015

Land Rover has revealed the 2015 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, which both come with a series of updates. The main changes have been the engine tweaks, and the potent SDV8 now produces 335bhp and 740Nm – a 40Nm increase – with a fuller torque curve from 1700 to 3300rpm thanks to detailed calibration changes. This improves in-gear acceleration by up to 6.5% from fifth to eighth gear, ensuring effortless overtaking ability and enhanced towing capability. The 8-speed automatic gearbox has also been re-engineered with a revised torque converter incorporating a twin-spring damper. But despite the added torque, the engine still maintains the same COS emissions.  Other changes include updated puddle lamps, fixed panoramic roofs with power blinds. An updated colour palette features Aruba silver and Kaikoura Stone, and the long-wheelbase derivatives can be specified with sophisticated 22-inch alloy wheels for the first time. Land Rover InControl Remote and InControl Secure are now available on Range Rover and Range Rover Sport derivatives as standard. InControl Remote includes an integrated SOS Emergency Call, optimised Land Rover Assistance and a Smartphone App, which enables you to connect remotely with your vehicle wherever you are. InControl Secure tracks the vehicle should it be stolen.
