German luxury carmaker Audi has started the production of the all new Audi A6 sedan in Aurangabad (Maharashtra), India. The plant will initially produce more than 2,000 units of Audi A6 each year. The company quoted, “The new Audi A6 will be offered with the choice of diesel and petrol engines.” Audi also produces the A4 and Q5 in Aurangabad and since the commencement of local production in September 2007, the company has produced around 5,000 units so far. The company aims to produce more than 4,000 units in 2011, as compared to 2,466 units produced last year.
