Nissan India, the Indian arm of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan has reported a sales growth of 48 percent in the month of June 2014. The automaker sold a total of 4,362 units in June 2014 as compared to 2,949 unit sales in June 2013.
The growth in sales is attributed to launch of the Datsun Go hatchback car model which sold a total of 1,097 units in the month of June 2014. The car model has sold a total of 5,780 units in the April – June 2014 period.
The carmaker also has plans to launch the new Sunny sedan in the Indian car market. The price details of the sedan, available with both petrol and diesel options, is expected to be released by the carmaker during the launch. The new version of the sedan will be launched with both manual and automatic variants.
