Nissan India to launch facelift Micra in June 2013

Nissan India, the Indian arm of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan is planning to launch a facelift version of the Micra hatchback in the Indian market in June 2013. The revamped Micra model has already been launched in the Thailand car market in the month of March 2013.

The new introductions in the refreshed car model Micra include a new front grille, a new front bumper, redesigned fog lamps and rear bumper. The production of the new car model has been commenced by the carmaker at its Oragadam (Chennai) production facility shared with French automaker Renault.

The Renault-Nissan alliance is also planning to make an investment of Rs 1780 crore in India to set up a new manufacturing plant with an annual production capacity of 2,00,000 units.
