Volkswagen India is going to launch its new Vento sedan in India on 24th of September. The Volkswagen Vento 2014 is expected to come few cosmetic changes in exterior and interior, mostly the changes under the hood. The new Vento will be available now in new 1.5 litre TDI turbo diesel engine which is replacement of old 1.6-litre diesel engine. This engine we can see in the newly launched Polo which has the capacity to pump 103.5 bhp of power and 250nm of torque. The engine will be integrated with 5-speed manual transmission and also will be an optional 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
The Vento facelift is likely to flaunt new front and rear bumper, re-worked headlamps and redesigned alloy wheels. The petrol variants will be available in unchanged 1.2-litre TSI and 1.6-litre MPI engines while the 1.2-litre TSI engine will be in 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and the 1.6-litre MPI engine gets a 5-speed manual transmission.
The Company has recently launched a new limited edition ‘Konekt’ Vento in Indian market, which is available with the Comfortline and Highline variants with both petrol and diesel engine option. The petrol Vento Konekt are priced at Rs. 8.09 lakh and Rs. 8.95 lakh in ex-showroom Delhi while The diesel Vento Konekt variants are priced at Rs. 9.26 lakh and Rs. 10 lakh at Delhi ex-showroom for the Comfortline and Highline variants.
The Konekt Vento is loaded with host of new features like centre console integrated high-resolution 7-inch TFT touchscreen colour display, latest Igo-Navtech maps for navigation, USB connectivity and iPhone/iPod compatibility, leatherette seat covers, ‘Konekt’ badging on the boot and scuff plates and also high-end Blaupunkt infotainment system with GPS navigation, Bluetooth telephony and 3G connectivity.
