With 235bhp and 500Nm of torque the new Sd4 powerplant delivers strong performance, powering New Discovery from 0-100km/h in 8.3 seconds (0-60mph in 8.0 seconds) – with comparable performance compared to the outgoing Discovery 3.0-litre V6 diesel. The new Land Rover Discovery is also available with a powerful 252bhp 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine, badged Td6. The single-turbo engine features low-pressure exhaust recirculation, a two-stage oil pump and revised fuel-injector nozzle for improved responses, refinement and efficiency.
